Concerning the campsite
Q. Are the beach, the city centre and the shops far from the camp site?
The nearest beach is only at 1000 m from the camping, the beach ‘L’Espiguette’ is at about 3km. The Espiguette beach, the Grau du Roi / Port Camargue's environmental jewel, offers you more than ten kilometres of fine sand surrounded by nature in a preserved and protected area. In the off season, discounted parking tickets for the Espiguette beach are at sale at the reception.
For our high season customers, the shuttle bus from the camping to the Espiguette beach is free.
The city centre and its shops are at 1500 m from the camping. On the campsite you have a restaurant, a bar and a grocery store.
Q. Is the access to the swimming pools free?
The camping’s customers have free access to “L'Espace Bleu" with its 2 swimming pools, one of which is an indoor pool, heated except in the summer, from 10h until 19h. To enter, you are obliged to wear your bracelet. For hygienic reasons, shorts and bermudas are prohibited, only swimsuits are allowed.
Concerning your reservation
Q. I would like to make a reservation, how do I proceed?
You can make your reservation in 3 different ways:
- On-line: click on the link ‘book now’. This is the quickest way to make your reservation. The payment, with a credit card, is secure.
- Click on the link ‘Contact’ and fill out the form. Then click on ‘Print a reservation contract’ and send it to us by mail with the down payment.
- By mail: you can send us the fully filled out reservation contract, that you can tear from our brochure, along with the down payment
The reservation is only valid when a payment has been made and when you have received a confirmation from the camping.
All minors need to be accompanied by their parents or their legal guardians.
Q. Can I take an option?
We do not accept options. Only reservations made with a down payment are taken into consideration. We encourage you, in order to proceed in a faster and easier manner, to make your reservation on the internet.
Q. Which means of payment are accepted?
You are free to choose your mean of payment: bank cheques, holiday cheques (ANCV), credit card or cash. We do not accept bank cheques at the counter.
Q. When do I have to pay?
A down payment accompanying the reservation contract is necessary to validate the reservation. The account of the stay needs to be settled one month before your arrival. After this period, all payments per bank cheques will be refused.
Q. Can I pay with my credit card in a safe manner?
Yes, our receptionists assure that the transactions are safely handled.
Q. How can I change my reservation?
Your reservation can be modified in accordance with the availability (change of dates, accommodation, number of participants, …) All changes need to be communicated in writing.
Q. What is covered by the cancellation insurance?
Events covered by cancellation insurance (exhaustive list):
Death, serious physical injury or serious sudden illness caused to you or to a member of your immediate family.
Redundancy: you or your spouse.
House moving as a result of a job transfer.
Damage to your main residence caused by fire, flood damage, damage to property caused by theft, vandalism, storms or natural disasters
We recommend you take out cancellation insurance at a cost of 4 € per day. Insurance is payable in full, at the time of booking only. It is added to the deposit payment and covers everyone registered for the holiday.
To be admissible, holiday cancellation should be notified by registered mail no more than 3 days after the event that has caused the cancellation. A full and irrefutable list of reasons covered by the present insurance is set out above. All cancellation requests should be accompanied by accurate and indisputable documentary evidence.
Cancellation insurance covers repayment of the contractual rental cost if cancellation occurs between the date of booking and 15 days before the date of arrival at the camping for a reason that was unknown or unforeseeable at the time of booking. Beyond 15 days before the date of the arrival, you will be refunded 25% of the total amount of the rented accommodation. Sums not repaid: cancellation insurance and holiday cancellation expenses totalling 71 €.
Q. Why choose cancellation insurance?
If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before the beginning of your stay without cancellation insurance, your down payment will not be returned. For a cancelation less than 30 days before the arrival date, the whole sum will be withdrawn.
Regarding your stay
Q. What happens if we are to arrive at a late hour and the reception is closed?
The arrivals are accepted from 16h until 19h. Departures are between 8h and 11h.
The reception is open until 19h in the low season and until 20h in the high season. We kindly ask you to notify the camping in case of a late arrival.
Q. How are the mobile-homes equipped?
All our mobile-homes are equipped with:
- 1 spacious sunny living room with a dining area: convertible into double beds for the 6 people
- 1 bedroom with a double bed: pillows and covers provided, sheets not provided)
- 1 bedroom with 2 single side by side beds (pillows and covers provided, sheets not provided)
- 1 equipped kitchen: with gas cooker, refrigerator, microwave, electric coffeemaker and dishes for 4 or 6 people max according to lodging, heating and water-heater, shower room with wash-hand basin and shower, separate WC,
- Garden furniture with sun umbrella
Attention: there are no televisions in the mobile-homes only in Family Plus Premium. If you would like to bring your own, do not forget to bring along your inside aerial.
Q. Are the recreational activities and animations on the campsite free?
On the camp site you have free access to the following utilities and activities:
LA MAISON CARRÉE: air-conditioned cinema with daily showings
Table tennis equipment,
New ground of petanque,
New children's playarea,
New outdoor fitness area,
New ground multisports (football, handball, basketball…)
Daily activities are organised in high season when our entire team is available:
LES LUTINS CAMARGUAIS: the children's club of “L’Abri de Camargue” is open all day with manual activities, games in the swimming-pool, shows organised for children…
The ANNEXE: musical area for adolescents by night: a place where teenagers get together in the presence of a DJ and a musical entertainment dedicated to them
Evening entertainment: karaoke, shows, themed evening dances, etc.
Sports activities with tournaments, training and challenges
Q. Are barbecues allowed?
We created a shared charcoal barbecue area which is at your disposal in free access. Every other use on the pitches is strictly forbidden.
Q. Can we park our car on the pitch?
Every pitch has its own parking space. Second vehicles can have access to our private paying parking.
Q. Are the dogs allowed?
Our animal friends are welcome on camping grounds for a 7€ fee per night.
Category 1 and 2 pets are not allowed. Mandatory up-to-date vaccination booklet must be shown.
Dogs must be kept on a lead, must not disturb the peace and cleanliness of the campsite, and must not display aggressive behaviour.
Attention: They are forbidden on the beaches and in the shuttle bus to the Espiguette beach.
Q. What happens if some friends with a baby join us for a night and we will be more than 6 people on the pitch?
Our pitches and mobile-homes are intended to accommodate 6 people maximum, including children and babies: any additional person will be refused.
About the pitch rental for camping-cars or caravans
They are meant to receive a tent, caravan, or camping car.
Our prices include the pitch, 6 people maximum, one car, electricity (on each pitch), the sanitary installations (hot water) and free admission to the swimming pools L’ESPACE BLEU (of which one indoors and heated at the beginning and the end of the season), entry to the air-conditioned cinema LA MAISON CARREE and daily entertainment in high season.
A camping car dumping station is installed inside the campsite.
In high season the reservation is recommended for a minimum stay of one week. The rest of the time, no minimum stay is required. We do not rent pitches for a long stay.
