Le Boucanet Beach

Easy access

There is a sandy beach which is easily accessible from the town centre and connected to the neighbouring seaside resort of La Grande-Motte.

There are seven hectares of natural areas with seaside paths providing access to the beach, which are ideal for walking or cycling.

The Blue Flag beach stretches for 3 km and is environmentally friendly, with shallow waters that are ideal for families.

The beach is divided into two supervised areas: one near the university hospital and the Boucanet pine forest, and the other near Les Aigues-Marines (Rive Droite).

Holidaymakers appreciate the wide beach and small dunes. A private beach offers sunbed hire so you can admire the sunset while enjoying a refreshing drink.

Handiplage  l'Oasis Rouge

Disability and enjoyment of the sea can be combined here.

This beach, which has been operating since 2004, has been awarded the Tourisme et Handicap label. It is open every day from June to the end of August. Parking is easy with around thirty free parking spaces available. A special access ramp has been installed to get down to the beach.

There is equipment available, such as the Tiralo, which rolls on sand and floats on water, as well as Seahorses and patient lifts.

A team is on hand to supervise swimming and assist users in entering the water.
